Extension and Alterations to Thatched House
(completed 2006)
We were nominated for the Master Builder of the Year
2006 awards by our client for our work on this project
and were narrowly pipped at the post, receiving a Highly
Commended, again in the Southern Counties region.

Garden Room Extension to Stone Built Cottage
(completed 2005)
Our client on this project nominated us for the
Master Builder of the Year 2006 awards. The Federation of
Master Builder judge’s were also impressed with both the
level of quality and customer service that was achieved
on this project placing us as regional winners (Southern
Counties) in this category.

New build sports pavilion for local authority -
Completed 2006
Our Client on this project was a town council who had
been awaiting the construction of the pavilion for some
40 years!! They recently gained funding from the Football
Foundation and after the normal competitive tendering
process awarded Sporn Construction the contract to build
the pavilion and a sizeable car park on green field land
in the centre of the town.

Gatehouse renovation
This is one of our most recent projects undertaken on
what was originally the gate house of a large village
Manor. Completed in 2005 the first phase of the works
necessitated the demolition of a modern flat roof area
and stone chimney which were the only alterations to the
existing property.

Conversion of 14th Century Listed Barn to Holiday

Georgian Manor
This large Georgian style property was completed in
2000. Built on a green field site the external facade was
constructed of mainly natural materials with the
exception of some cast stone decorative features.

Loft conversion (2004)
Complete in 2004 this could hardly have been more
different from the previous project. Structurally the
property had originally been constructed with the
intention of creating rooms in the loft and therefore
drastically cut down on the work required by us.

New Build House
Prior to the construction of this house, which was
completed in 2004, we firstly had to demolish an existing
cottage on the site. We were able to salvage materials to

Loft conversion (2001)
Completed in 2001 this project is possibly at the
most extreme end of the loft conversion sector. Due to
the original construction gaining the required space was
achieved by increasing the height of the existing walls
and installing a complete new roof.

Completed in 1996 we purchased this plot with
planning permission which we rearranged to achieve the
final scheme consisting of ten 2 bedroom terraced houses.

Grade 2 listed Tythe Barn
Completed in 1998 this was not so much a conversion
as a restoration project of a Grade 2 listed Tythe Barn.
The conservation officer kept a watchful eye during the
course of the works to ensure traditional building
techniques and materials were always used.
