November 2010

The masonry team have completed the first stage of their Stone Mason Course.  A traditional stone masonry course focusing on  developing  stone carving and dressing skills, together with imparting the techniques and discipline required for executing inticate detailed stone work. The course is approved by English Heritage and will continue into 2012.

All members of the team thoroughly enjoyed the course, amd have already been able to utilise their new skills on site. Paul Robinson the masonry foreman remarked “We are looking forward to completing the challenges ahead. It is fantastic to see how even the more junior members of the team are very excited about the course. Stone carving requires meticulous attention to detail, all members of staff have done exceptionally well. The standard of work required is nothing less than we expect every day on site. “
